Jennis graduated cum laude from the University of Utah in Finance, and worked ten years for the Air Force and Bureau of Reclamation as a contract negotiator, cost/price analyst, and supervising contracting officer. Jennis also taught accounting, finance, and business courses at local community colleges. She lived in Germany for 4 years caring for two young children. Later, Ms. Hemingway taught middle-school-aged students writing and journalism.
With 2 daughters, a house, and husband, Ms. Hemingway returned to school to obtain her Jurist Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. Jennis wanted a career where she could help people, advocate, and earn a living.
Upon admission to the Arizona Bar Association, Jennis worked as a Bailiff Law-Clerk for the Honorable Sam Myers in Maricopa County Superior Family-Law Court. She also volunteered with Community Legal Services, Arizona Modest Means Projects. Foundations of Justice, and Family Law Assistance Program.
Previous employers have described Jennis as “tough and competent”. Ms Hemingway works hard to provide a service which satisfied her clients. She will maneuver the legal pathways for your rights and work to find effective solutions for your needs.
